Living Blue x GL: The ethical fashion collection!
LE BHV MARAIS is working alongside NGO CARE, an organisation that supports a number of businesses in developing countries. Whilst contributing to their economic growth, CARE also supports the work of women.
The collection has been created from a co-design process between the women of Bangladesh, Living Blue and Galeries Lafayette. It is a capsule collection inspired by “indigo”, traditional japanese dyeing technique Shibori (commonly known as tie and dye), Kantha and completely handmade embroidery. Unique ethical products!
A Fashion and Home collection
The collection unites fashion items like silk dresses and cotton ponchos but also accessories with indigo blue accents and unique patterns. And the picture wouldn’t be complete without a “home” collection, that includes hessian baskets also made using traditional techniques.
So this is the new initiative of this capsule collection, that not only considers the preservation of resources but also contributes to the economic and social development of women and local players in remote areas. When it comes to saving the planet, fashion will not be taking a back seat!
